What is Prodigal Gamers?
First and foremost, we are a community. We do offer competitive and casual gaming events, however, competing is only secondary to our community. We provide a place where gamers can network with each other, share ideas, tips, tricks and gossip about the latest gaming news. We want gamers to be able to find others with the same interests in gaming and build a friends list so you will never have to play alone again.
What features to you offer?
Gamers will be given profiles that will include, Blogging, Friends List, Comments, Photo Sharing, and even Avatar support for those with an XBox Live Avatar. Read the latest gaming news and watch videos and chat on our forums. All this and more!
What are your different membership levels?
Standard membership gives you Blogging, Friends List, Photo Sharing as well as many other things. Our Prodigal Membership will have a small monthly charge. Prodigal Members will be able to run their own gaming events. More on this below.
What kind of gaming events do you offer?
Anything you want! The great thing about Prodigal Gamers, is that we offer you the chance to start and run your own gaming event. It can be a gaming ladder or a tournament. You choose the game, platform, the rules, and when its played. Invite your friends and your event will be run live on ProdigalGamers.com.
Can money be made with by running my own events?
Of course! You may, if you wish, charge an entry fee for gamers to participate in your event. If you do you then have a couple options. You may keep all your earnings, or you may decide to split it. You would then take how ever much you want, and the rest would be prize money. This is all up to you. You have full control.
Where are these events held?
The gaming events run by Prodigal Gamers staff will be run online only for the time being. In the future we may have events in different cities across the United States and possibly the world. As for now, all of our events will be hosted online. Participants will play from the comfort of their own home.
What about the events I run?
You may choose to run your events online and open it up to anyone in the world to play, or you may run local events. Invite friends over for a game night and put a completive edge to it. Use ProdigalGamers.com to keep track of the score and declare a winner.
